KASTAMONU ENTEGRE A.S. which is the biggest company in forest industry
in Turkey started its investment program in Romania in 1998 by purchasing PROLEMN S.A.
The investment program continued with the modernization of some existing lines from
timber and block board factory, implementation of a new plywood and massive board plants,
the extension of harvesting department with new and modern machinery, implementation of modern,
automated streaming and drying chambers.
As Moulded Doorskin has been very common in North America and South-Eastern Asia
in last 20 years, the Managing Board decided to make a unique investment in Continental Europe
hence S.C. PROLEMN S.A. started to build the DOORSKIN factory in 1999.
Being equipped with the latest generation high-technology, Doorskin plant started production
in the middle of November 2001 with well trained, experienced and qualified personnel.
As a result of increased demand for doorskins, managing board has decided to build
a second doorskin line to increase the production capacity more than 100%.
The line will be ready in the begining of 2006.
S.C. PROLEMN S.A. as being one of the biggest subsidiary of Kastamonu Entegre A.S.
continues its production, marketing and selling activities by satisfying fully its customers needs.
For this purpose Prolemn S.A. proved its customer oriented strategy by obtaining ISO 9001 certificate
in august 2003. Prolemn S.A. also obtained FSC approval to indicate its commitment to
environment-friendly forest management in 2005.
